Meeting THIS Wednesday!

Don’t forget! The Christian Writers’ Group will meet THIS Wednesday, July 15, at 6:30pm, at Panera Bread (Hwy 75 & Eldorado) in McKinney. Bring an encouraging attitude and something you’ve written.

I want to clarify something real quick. It’s been brought to my attention that the name of our group may be a little bit misleading. We are indeed a group of Christian writers fellowshipping and helping each other sharpen our skills. However, the members of our group do not solely write Christian material or publish only in the Christian market. In fact, what you write does not have to contain a biblical message at all! You may write fiction, commentary, devotions, poetry, or journals. We welcome everyone and everything except material that is anti-Christian or contains excessive gore or sexual content. Our goal is to be a light shining in the darkness, to help Christian writers be a positive influence in a difficult world. We want to represent our Lord and direct others to Him by sending our written word out as His missionary.

I know many of you are traveling at this time, and I pray for your safety. I also know one particular group member has an excellent excuse not to attend – she had a baby last week! Congratulations to Amanda Downey & welcome little Ella Hope!!!

I do hope many are able to join us this week. Perhaps Teresa Lusk will bring copies of her newly published book, Good Enough to be a Homemaker and CEO.

See you soon!
